With Sitoo POS, you can ensure that a payment in your Nets terminal has actually gone through and, if problems arise, try again to verify the payment. See below for information on how this works.
Reconnect terminal to an ongoing transaction
If the connection to the terminal is lost after the payment has been sent to the terminal, this message will appear:
First, ensure that the terminal is turned on and connected to the network. Then press OK and then the orange “Retry” button.
In this step, Sitoo attempts to compare the ID for the transaction in Sitoo with the latest transaction in the card terminal. If these match, Sitoo POS will link them and complete the payment.
If there is still no connection between the POS and the card terminal, an error message will appear, indicating that it is not possible to determine whether the transaction has been completed in the card terminal.
In that case, try the following:
- 1) Restart the card terminal
Press “Clear (yellow)” + “#” simultaneously until it restarts.
- 2) Restart Sitoo POS
Wait until they are up and running again, then press “Try again.” Hopefully you will get "The payment was successful!" Now there is only one final step left for this payment, namely that you need to press “OK.”
(Normally, a card payment goes through immediately without needing to be completed, but since there was a problem with this payment that needed to be verified, you must also complete it.)
Delete failed payment
If nothing else helps (see the section above), you can delete the payment in Sitoo POS by swiping it away. Place your finger on the payment method line and gently drag it to the left. A red box will appear where you can tap “Delete.”
Please note that this should always be the last resort, as it often causes a discrepancy between the POS and the terminal.
When you do this, the app will display a warning asking you to try again, but if you have already done so without success, you can press “OK” at this stage.
If the payment is deleted without any connection to the terminal, it may be that the terminal still has the payment as successful, meaning that the customer has paid without a purchase being made in Sitoo.
