Sitoo supports the Japanese card terminal Coiney (Miura M101). Coiney in an easy-to-use bluetooth terminal suited for the Japanese market. The use of Coiney also enables the use of WeChat in Japan.

Facts
- Coiney can only be used in Japan.
- Coiney runs on bluetooth and is therefore not network depedent.
- Coiney can only be connected to one POS as a time.
- When Coiney Payment is chosen the Coiney interface takes over the user interface in Sitoo POS.
- To use Coiney it is necessary to login to the Coiney account every 7 days.
- Coiney also enables the use of WeChat if the retailer has a merchant account for WeChat.
Settings in Sitoo Backoffice
Login to Sitoo Backoffice and commit the following settings.
- Decimals = 0 (Go to Settings > General)
- Decimal separator = . dot (Go to Settings > General)
- Thousands separator = , comma (Go to Settings > General)
- Price prefix = ¥ (Go to Settings > General)
- Price suffix = JPY (Go to Settings > General)
- Set default currency to JPY (Go to Settings > General)
- All prices should be incl. VAT (Go to Products)
- Add Coiney as payment method (Go to Settings > POS -Payment Options)
- Add default Coiney account & password in Coiney settings (Go to Settings > Coiney)
First installation of Coiney (Miura M101)
- Go to settings in the iPad > Bluetooth. Make sure bluetooth is turned on.
- Go to Sitoo POS and initiate a purchase. Tap Pay and choose Coiney.
- Log on to Coiney with your account details. These can be prepopulated in Sitoo Backoffice (see the section above).
- Select Coiney, the first option with a card terminal.
- Tap the top right ihop in the blue bar.
- Tap the top right characters in the blue bar.
- Follow the instructions and perform the actions on the terminal suggested in the app. Tap the blue button to proceed to the next step.

- Available bluetooth devices will be presented in the list. Tap the correct device named Coiney Terminal.
- A dialogue with a number series will appear in the app, as well as on the terminal screen. Make sure these are the same. Tap the blue text to the right in the dialogue to proceed to the next step.
- Follow the instructions and perform the actions on the terminal suggested in the app. Tap the blue button to proceed to the next step.
- To test the terminal connection please insert a card with chip in the terminal, then swipe the card in the terminal.
- The grey circles will turn blue when the tests are performed correctly.
- You will now be presented with terminal information. Tap the top right characters in the blue bar to proceed.
- If you do not want to complete the transaction, please press the top left characters in the blue bar, and then the arrow to the left just beneath the Menu button.
- In Sitoo POS, go to the Menu > Settings > Hardware devices.
- Press the + icon in the top right corner. Choose Coiney.
- When the Log Out button turns blue you're done. Do not Log out.
- Go back, and you'll now have a Coiney device added to your hardware devices.
- Tap Done/Back to return.
Perform a payment with Coiney
- Put the items in the shopping cart > Press Pay and choose Coiney.
- Choose Coiney.
Note!With Coiney it's not possible to split the purchase on multiple payment options. The whole purchase must be done with Coiney.
- Tap the top right corner in the Blue Bar.
- Follow the instructions and perform the actions on the terminal suggested in the app. Tap the blue text to proceed to the next step if you're not automatically forwarded.
- Tap the blue button to proceed to the next step. DO NOT use the Coiney interface to send digital receipts, this is done in the next step.
- Enter the customers email address if you want to send a digital receipt and/or press the blue button to complete the transaction.
- A receipt will now be produced by the receipt printer. Remember that a receipt always has to be printed as a sign of the completed transaction. If there's no physical receipt the transaction did not go trough correctly.
The transaction is fully complete when you as a final step press New Customer in Sitoo POS and a receipt is produced in the receipt printer. If the transaction is completed in Coiney and the iPad runs out of battery just before you press New Customer, the staff can handle the Coiney purchase in the Coiney Backoffice.
Perform a refund with Coiney
With Coiney it's not possible to perform a partial refund. If you want to make a refund on one item on a multi item purchase, I'll have to perform a return on all the items and then resell the items that the customer does not want to return, or choose another payment option for the return.
When performing a refund with Coiney you need to connect the refund to a purchase order. Therefore you need the order number of that exact purchase or the physical receipt.
- If you have the physical receipt, just scan the receipt, and the items will presented in the cart.
- If you don't have a receipt, tap Fetch > Order / Receipt > Search for the order > Press Refund.
- Select Coiney.
- Follow the instructions and perform the actions on the terminal suggested in the app.
- When presented with this view, press the red button to proceed.
- DO NOT use the Coiney interface to send digital receipts, this is done in the next step, see below. Enter the customers email address if you want to send a digital receipt or/and press the blue button to complete the transaction.
Refunds should to the farthest extent be handled in Sitoo POS. If it’s handled in the Coiney Backoffice, the refund will not be registered in Sitoo, which will create a difference between the card refunds in Sitoo and the log from Coiney.
Use WeChat through Coiney
Coiney also offers use WeChat Payment, but it requires that the you have a WeChat merchant account. You will also have to use the iPad/iPhone camera to scan the QR code shown in the customers smartphone, since this payment procedure is done in the Coiney interface presented in the Sitoo POS application.
- Go to Sitoo POS and initiate a purchase. Tap Pay and choose Coiney.
- If needed log on to Coiney with your account details. These can be prepopulated in Sitoo Backoffice.
- Select WeChat, the second option with a smartphone icon.
- Hold the iPad/iPhone scanner infront of the customers smartphone and WeChat payment application. Scan the QR code.
- Follow the instructions and perform the actions on the terminal suggested in the app.
- DO NOT use the Coiney interface to send digital receipts, this is done in the next step, as shown above. Enter the customers email address if you want to send a digital receipt or/and press the blue button to complete the transaction.

Why do I have to log in to Coiney?
To use Coiney it is necessary to login to the Coiney account every 7 days. If required, this is shown when initiating a purchase with Coiney. We recommend that you prepopulate your login credentials in Sitoo Backoffice, which will give the staff the option to just tap Log In without having to fill the account details every time.
- Log in to Sitoo Backoffice. Go to Settings > Coiney > Enter your login credentials.
Troubleshooting
Log out and log in to Coiney.
- In Sitoo POS, go to Menu > Settings > Hardware devices.
- Tap Coiney in the list of devices.
- Tap the Blue button Log out.
- If you do not have the option Coiney in your list of hardware devices, press the + icon in the upper right corner and choose Coiney.
- To login, add an item to the shopping cart and initiate a purchase with Coiney which will force the login interface.
Check the settings
Go to Sitoo Backoffice and make sure these settings are correct:
