Install receipt printer
- Insert a receipt roll into the printer. Press the button on the left front side of the printer to open the hatch.
- Then place the roll in the printer as described below:
- Pull out part of the receipt roll and close the lid:

Remove the hatch from the of the printer by pinching the top corners and pulling outwards.
- Connect the power cord with the flat side down. Make sure it clicks properly. Then connect the cord with the adapter that comes with it and plug the adapter into a power socket.
- Insert the network cable into any input of your router / switch and the other end of the receipt printer.
Note!Connection between the cash register and the printer can either be done via the network cable as described above, or via a USB connection directly between the iPad and the printer. See the section below on how to do this.
- Gather the two cables and place them at the bottom of the receipt printer so that the hatch can be put back on the back of the printer:
Connect the printer to Sitoo POS
- Open Sitoo POS. Tap the menu in the upper left corner and then Settings.
- Under Hardware Devices you'll see all currently connected devices.
- Tap the plus sign in the top right and choose Star Micronics.
- Now tap the magnifying glass in the top right corner. The app will then search your network for any connected printers. When the printer appears, simply tap it and it will be added to your cash register. If there are more than one printer connected to your network you will need to differentiate them by their IP adress. Please see the section below for help on how to find the IP adress.
- Tap the button for Default printer. The setting is active if the button is green.
- Tap Done.
USB connection
USB connection to the receipt printer also enables charging of your iPad through the receipt printer. In order for the USB to connect your printer, you need a charging cable adapted for the iPad, not the adapter itself.
- Remove the hatch from the of the printer by pinching the top corners and pulling outwards.
- Connect the Lightning cable to the "iPad socket" in the printer, then connect the Lightning connector to your iPad.
- Gather the two cables and place them at the bottom of the receipt printer so that the hatch can be put back on the back of the printer:
Finding the IP adress of your printer
- Turn off the receipt printer by pressing and holding the button on the front of the receipt printer, at the far right. The blue light should go out.
- Before restarting the printer, press the FEED button on the front of the receipt printer. It is located to the left of the power button.
- Press and hold FEED while turning on the receipt printer by pressing the on / off button for about 5 seconds until it resumes. Keep holding FEED for a while.
- After a while, two printouts will be printed.
- The second printout contains information about the IP address. Look at the bottom of the paper. If the IP address is 0.0.0.0 it is most likely because the network cable is loose. Then check that the cord that goes from the receipt printer to the router is as it should.
