To consider before taking part in a stocktaking session!
Latest version of Sitoo POS
All devices that have the Sitoo POS application downloaded can participate in a stocktaking session. All participating devices must be updated to the latest version of Sitoo POS. Go to the App Store on your device > search for Sitoo POS > Update if any updates are available.
Individual POS login
All participants in the stocktaking should have their own login to Sitoo POS. If login details are to be shared, it is not possible to follow up on each individual contribution.
Initiate and complete stocktaking in Sitoo Backoffice
The stocktaking must always be initiated and completed in Sitoo Backoffice. Each individual device used in the stocktaking creates a local stocktaking list. When you have finished your list, this can be submitted to the central stocktaking session.
Note that local stocktaking lists can be started in Sitoo POS before the central stocktaking session is initiated in Sitoo Backoffice, but to be submitted the stocktaking list a central stocktaking must be initiated in Sitoo Backoffice.
Chronological order
The products in the stocktaking list are in the order they were added to your local list. Note that if products that you have added to your list are also added to another list, the sum of the products in both lists will be merged into the central stocktaking when both lists have been submitted.
Remove an error
If you add or scan the wrong product, you can remove it by swiping to left of the product row > Delete. Note that you do not remove the product by decrease the number to 0. If you enter the number 0 you indicate that you have listed this product and that there are 0 entities of this product.
Pause the stocktaking
You can at any time leave the stocktaking in Sitoo POS to, for example, conduct sales. You can then resume your stocktaking list again.
Use the built in camera function on iPad or iPhone
- Open Sitoo POS on your device, iPad or iPhone.
- Log in with your pin.
- Tap Menu > Stocktaking.
- Tap the camera icon (the square icon in the upper left corner next to the text Close). The camera function will then be activated.
Note!In order for the camera function to work in the Sitoo app, you need to allow camera access on this device.
- Place your device in front of the product's barcode so that it appears in the app.
- The camera will lock in the barcode. You will also see the barcode's number series on the screen.
- Tap the camera screen to photograph/scan the barcode.
- The product will now appear in the list with the number 1 indicating one counted product.
- Tap the camera screen once more to increase the number of products listed.
- Continue photographing/scanning barcodes with your device until you are finished.
- When you have completed the stocktaking list on this unit, submit the list to the central stocktaking session.
- Press Send in the upper right corner. Leave a comment if you wish > Press Send > OK > OK.
Use a barcode scanner with iPad or iPhone
- Open Sitoo POS on your device, iPad or iPhone.
- Log in with your pin.
- Tap Menu > Stocktaking.
- Scan the product barcode with your Datalogic scanner or Socket Mobile.
- The product will now appear in the list with the number 1 indicating one counted product.
- Scan the product barcode once more to increase the number of products listed.
- Continue scanning barcodes with your scanner until you are done.
- When you have completed the stocktaking list on this unit, submit the list to the central stocktaking session.
- Press Send in the upper right corner. Leave a comment if you wish > Press Send > OK > OK.
Use the search function on iPad or iPhone
- Open Sitoo POS on your device, iPad or iPhone.
- Log in with your pin.
- Tap Menu > Stocktaking.
- Tap the the magnifying glass icon to access the search function.
- Search for the product you want to count, in the list please select the accurate product.
- The product will now appear in the list with the number 1 indicating one counted product.
- Tap the product row. Increase or decrease the number by pressing + or -. Tap the X icon to return.
- You can also tap the product row, then tap the number in the middle to change into another number. Tap Done and then the X icon to return.
- When you have completed the local stocktaking list on this unit, submit the list to the central stocktaking session.
- Press Send in the upper right corner. Leave a comment if you wish > press Send > OK > OK.
Edit the number of products manually
In addition to increasing the number of products by photographing or scanning the product's barcode, you can both increase and decrease the number manually. Below we describe two ways.
- Tap the product row. Increase or decrease the number by pressing + or -
- You can also tap the product row, then tap the number in the middle to change into another number.
- Tap Done and/or the icon X to return.
If a stocktaking list cannot be submitted?
When you submit your local stocktaking list to the central stocktaking session, you may receive an error message concerning one of the listed products. This is because you have photographed or scanned a barcode that does not belong to any of the products in your product catalog in Backoffice. Either remove this product from your local stocktaking list or add the product to Sitoo Backoffice.
