Background
Previously, stocktaking approvals could only be completed in Sitoo Backoffice and required Store Manager privileges. This created a dependency on Store Manager availability, making it difficult to finalize stocktakings in a timely manner.
For customers using daily cycle counting initiated from POS, this often meant that stocktakings could not be closed at the end of the day, leading to delays in inventory updates and impacting stock accuracy and replenishment.

A new “Approve Stocktaking” view is now available in Sitoo POS, allowing stocktaking sessions to be finalized directly in the store. The interface is simplified compared to Backoffice interface but delivers the same result, making the approval process faster and easier. It is designed to support the standard workflow (“happy path”) with a streamlined, intuitive experience. For more advanced analysis, the Backoffice view is still available.
Configurable permissions also allow both Store Staff and Store Managers to approve stocktakings, depending on the organization’s setup

This release adds the ability to scan a barcode to trigger a manual discount for a specific product. A barcode prefix determines the discount type (% off, amount off, or a new fixed price). When applied, a default reason code (configured in the POS profile) is attached to the line, the cart, and the customer receipt to document the discount.

Initiate a stocktaking from the POS app
Background
Previously, it was only possible to initiate a new stocktaking from the Sitoo Back Office or via the Sitoo API. This meant that users needed access to the Sitoo Back Office and were assigned to a Store Manager role to start a stocktaking session.
While users could begin counting products in the POS app, they were not informed whether an active stocktaking session was in progress. This often resulted in the user completing the count only to discover, when submitting the data to the Back Office, that no active stocktaking session was available, triggering an error message.
Update
Users can now start a new stocktaking session directly from the POS app, provided they have the required permission. This permission can be assigned to both Store Manager and Store Staff roles.
When enabled, a new stocktaking can be initiated from the POS app as long as no active session is already in progress. The feature is disabled by default and must be explicitly enabled.

Infrasec has launched a new certified TCS (Tax Compliance System) that ensures full compliance with the latest Skatteverket fiscal regulations (SKVFS 2016:1) and the journal exporting requirements introduced in 2023.
Sitoo has updated the POS fiscal integration to support this new TCS solution, maintaining compliance and seamless operation across all supported devices.

Background
When applying promotions and bonus checks for a member in the POS (Point of Sale), there was a confirm dialog for each one applied.
We have had a lot of feedback on this functionality indicating that the confirmation step was only time consuming and not really helping the staff.
Update
From this release, the functionality for applying a promotion or a bonus check does no longer involve a confirmation dialog.
If the staff needs to change which promotions or bonus checks that have been applied, this can still be done by swiping left on a discount summary row at the bottom of the cart.

- Added possibility to open the cash drawer when opening the register for the day.

Background
- Not all store staff should have access to the key to the cash drawer. When opening the POS for the day and registering the amount of cash that is going to be in the cash drawer (opening float), a function for opening the cash drawer is needed in the POS.
- Some regions in Spain require the possibility to use the POS in Catalan.
Update
- With a menu option, it is now possible to open the cash drawer before registering the opening float and opening the POS for the day.
- Spanish Catalan has been added as a language option for the POS.

Feature
- The VAT summary section on the receipt now also renders the base amount.
- Fixed issue where stock levels were not shown correctly when searching for products.
- Product lookup performance improvement when scanning barcodes.
Background
- The amount that the collected VAT is based on, should be shown on the receipt for each VAT group.
- When looking at products in a search result list, it can be very helpful to see the current stock level in the store.
- When using a handheld device (e.g. Zebra TC21) for registering inventory changes using the barcode scanner, it is important that the application is rapid in its response.
Update

Reason codes for cash in/out
You can now add a reason code to the cash in/out operation in the POS, thus requiring your staff to choose a reason for the deposit/withdrawal.
Allow refunds with multiple payment methods
- Just as you can use multiple payment methods to take payment, you can now use multiple methods to handle returns. Simply tap the pie-icon in the top right corner at the payment screen, choose the first payment method and enter the sum to be returned for this method. Then choose your secondary payment method for the remaining sum.
Scan discount codes without the need to enter them manually
- You can create a code for your receipts and scan them instead of tapping the discount button and entering the campaign code.
Support for receipt printer from Epson
- Sitoo POS is now compatible with the TM-T88VI printer from Epson.
Print labels directly from the POS using Zebra Label Printer
- It is now possible to print labels directly from the Sitoo POS app on your iPad using Zebra Label Printer.
