In this article we go through how to make sales in one store and deliver it in another store, ie let the customer pick up an already paid item in another store. This procedure can be applied, for example, if the product is out of stock in your store and the customer wishes to pick up the purchase in another store.
You can choose to split the purchase so that, for example, a product is paid and delivered in your store and another product is paid and handed out in another store.
- Add one or more products to the shopping cart.
- Tap the product that you wish to be delivered in another store.
- Unmark the checkbox named Delivered. The text should be gray.
- Leave the dialogue by tapping somewhere sels on the screen.
- The product will now have the status NOT DELIVERED.
- Add a customer, so that the customer is registered in the POS when he or she are about to pick up the purchase in the next store.
- Press the button Pay, and choose which store the customer intends to pick up the purchase in. In this dialogue window you will also receive information about the stock balance in that particular store.
- Leave the option Pickup in store as selected > Press OK.
- Choose payment option and complete the transaction.
In the store where the customer will pick up their purchase, the button Fetch will be marked with a red icon indicating that action will be required.
Prepare the delivery
You can prepare the prepaid products to be picked up in your store by:
- Press Fetch > Pickup & Delivery.
- The pre-paid purchase will now be shown in the list.
- The purchase should be marked with the text Pickup.
- Select the pickup in the list.
- Select Print out. A pick list is printed which also indicates the customers contact information and when the purchase was made. It can be used to complete the physical shopping basket and attach the printout to the shopping basket for easier handling.
Deliver/hand over the purchase
When the customer arrives at the store to collect the purchase do the following:
- Press Fetch > Pickup & Delivery.
- Form the list select the correct pickup.
- Press Finish > Press OK.
- The transaction is now complete and delivered from your store.
Change designated store
If the store has received a pickup order from another store but are not able to hand over the customers products upon delivery due to low stock balance in the store, you can change the store; ie deciding that the products should be handed out in another store.
Stores can also choose to transfer deliveries/pickups from one store to their own through the same procedure. This can be applied, for example, if the customer visits the wrong store when he or she is about to pick up the purchase.
- Press Fetch > Pickup & Delivery.
- Locate the pickup in you list, marked Pickup.
- Swipe left on the screen.
- Now a blue botton named Change store will appear.
- Select Change store and decide on a different store from the list > Press OK.
