If you previously updated your iOS unit (iPad or iPhone) to iOS13, Adyen will need to disable "UseLegacyCertificates" for your Adyen account. When this flag has been set, you will need to update the configuration on the card terminal.
1. Contact Adyen Support
Please email support@adyen.com with your merchant account and inform them that you have updated your iOS unit to iOS13 and need them to disable "UseLegacyCertificates" on your Adyen account. Await confirmation from Adyen and then perform the following steps on your terminal.
2a. E355: Update configuration (EVO terminal)
- Press and hold (9) + the green button.
- Enter the admin pin (found in Adyen Backoffice).
- Press (3) Config > (1) to Update config.
- Please call the Adyen support if you need help updating the configuration.
1.45.1 (On the terminal, press and hold 5 + the green button)
E355: Update software (EVO terminal)
- Press and hold (9) + the green button.
- Enter the admin pin (found in Adyen Backoffice).
- Press (2) Software > GREEN to Update software.
- Please call the Adyen support if you need help updating the configuration.
2b. P400Plus or V400M: Update Config (VOS terminal)
- Press and hold (9) + the green button.
- Enter the admin pin (found in Adyen Backoffice).
- Press (3) Config > (1) to Update config.
- Please call the Adyen support if you need help updating the configuration.

P400Plus or V400M: Software Update (VOS terminal)
- Press and hold 9 + the green button.
- Enter the admin pin (found in Adyen Backoffice).
- Press (2) Software > GREEN to Update software.
- Please call the Adyen support if you need help updating the configuration.
- Verify that Adyen card terminal found in the hardware list has a software version higher than 1.45.1
Reset and Initialize in Sitoo POS
The terminal will reboot and when everything is done it should be possible to initialize from Sitoo POS.
- In Sitoo POS, press Menu > Settings > Hardware devices.
- Press the Adyen card terminal found in the hardware list > Press "Reset".
- When reset, press "Initialize".
If you have a new terminal
If you have a new terminal you'll first have to board the terminal through the Adyen Backoffice. When boarding, the terminal will request a onetime password. The onetime password is found in the Adyen Backoffice > "Point of sale" > "Terminals" > Select the terminal you want to board > "One time password". Please call the Adyen support if you need help onboarding the terminal.
