External payment options

In this article we will review how to add and manage external payment options in your cash register. This is useful if you wish to use an external payment method such as Swish or Standalone Card Terminal in your store.

Create a new payment option

Add a gift card payment option

1. Go to Sitoo Backoffice > Settings > POS Payment Options.
2. Click the add icon at the upper left corner
3. Enter the name of your payment option in the empty textbox. 
4. Choose any of the not occupied payment methods Custom Method 1 - 5.
5. Click Save.
6. Now you have a new payment method on the cash register.
   
   

Manage an external payment option as means of payment

Example Swish

1. When you have accessed the payment step by pressing Total in the shopping cart, ask the customer to pick up his or hers phone and open Swish.
2. Enter your Swish number and amount in the customers Swish app.
3. Make sure that they transaction in complete in the customers Swish app.
4. Return to Sitoo POS and enter the amount that the customer payed by Swish.
5. Press Commit and New Customer.
6. A receipt will be printed by your receipt printer, stating that the customer payed with Swish.

Example Standalone Card Terminal

1. Enter the payment step by pressing Total in the shopping cart.
2. On your Standalone terminal, enter the amount corresponding to the customer's purchase.
3. Complete the transaction with the customers credit card. 
4. Return to Sitoo POS and enter the amount that the customer paid.
5. Press Commit and New Customer.
6. A receipt will be printed by your receipt printer, stating that the customer payed with Standalone Card terminal.
