The customers’ receipt can be scanned to add articles to the cart intended for refund. Enter the payment reference or scan it with your scanner. All products on the receipt will be fetched and their prices will reflect the prices on the receipt. Before finalizing the refund you are able to add, edit or remove products. You can also add a note to each product.

Scan the original receipt for a validated return
- Accept the customers receipt and scan it with your scanner.
- The products on the receipt will appear in the pop-up which reflects the items that are available to be returned.
- Choose to either to return all items by pressing the drop down menu Select > Select all, alternatively tick the boxes on the items to be returned.
- On each item you will see a black circle with the amount of items that are available to be refunded. This number of items cannot be exceeded. If the item has already been returned, the item will be gray and cannot be selected for return.
- Once the item has been selected for return, you have to choose the reason code before you can add it to cart.
- You can add new products for purchase which will appear in the sales section, under the returns. Complete the return by tapping the orange button, refund, if you have restricted authority levels, you might need to add a PIN code inorder to complete the validated return. Complete the return by the chosen payment method.
Purchases previously done on Klarna needs to be a validated return and has to be connected to the original receipt.
Perform a Manual Return using swipe.
- To perform a manual return, the product to be returned is added to the cart.
- Once in the cart, perform a ‘short swipe’ to the left. There you will see a display with Return and Delete; choose return. The cart will switch to returns. If you use reason codes, these will need to be added.
- You can add new products for purchase which will appear in the sales section, under the manual returns.
- Once ready tap the orange button, refund, if you have restricted authority levels, you might need to add a PIN code inorder to complete the manual return. Complete the return by the chosen payment method.
Search for receipt
- Tap Refund at the bottom of the cart and then tap Search for receipt.
- Follow the instructions in the app.
- The entire order will be added to the cart and the pop-up will be displayed.
- Follow steps 3-6 under validated returns to complete the return.
Fetch Latest Purchase
If you made an error on the latest purchase you can easily fetch it to the cart and correct it.
- Tap Refund at the bottom of the cart and then tap Latest Receipt.
- The entire order will be added to the cart and the pop-up will be displayed.
- Only select those items that you wish to return, or select all if you want to refund the whole cart
- Once ready tap the orange button, refund, if you have restricted authority levels, you might need to add a PIN code inorder to complete the manual return. Complete the return by the chosen payment method.
Rebuy
Rebuy is recommended to use only when you have a lot of discounts and promotions where rebuying the customer's previous receipt is needed to get the best deal.
To activate the rebuy functionality in Sitoo POS, you need to do the following in Sitoo Backoffice:
- Go to Sitoo backoffice
- Settings → Reason codes
- Add new reason code for ‘Item refund’
- Once completed, go to settings → POS Profiles
- Go to the stores POS profile where you want to activate the rebuy functionality
- Add Rebuy Reason Code
The rebuy option will appear when you do a validated return. Please follow the steps above for a validated return. If you want a purchase to be a rebuy, ensure the rebuy is ticked and vice versa if it’s not a rebuy refund.
