Email Settings
1. General Settings in Sitoo BackOffice
- Go to Settings > General in the Sitoo BackOffice.
- In the Order Confirmation section:
- Mail from: Enter your brand/store name.
- Mail from email address: Enter the email address you want digital receipts to be sent from.
- Copy to email address: This field is not used for digital receipts.
- Subject: This field is also not used for digital receipts.
- Save your settings.
2. Verify Domain in AWS Email Service
- Go to Settings > Email Service (AWS) in the Sitoo BackOffice.
- Add your domain (e.g: example.com) in the provided field. Ensure that the domain is entered in lowercase without www.
- Sitoo will provide you with three credentials: name, type, and value.
- Send these details to your domain administrator to be added in your DNS.
- When your domain administrator has added the required credentials to your DNS settings:
- In the Sitoo BackOffice, click Verify DNS-settings.
- If the DNS is correctly configured, three more credential sections will appear.
- Add these credentials to your DNS settings as well.
- Check the status of each section. When they appear green, the domain verification is complete.
3. Add Sender Email
- After domain verification is successful, click Add Sender.
- Make sure the sender email address matches the one entered in the Mail from email address field under Settings > General > Order Confirmation.
SPF Record Configuration

If your Domain (DNS) doesn't have an SPF Record:
Publish a TXT record with the following value (name can be blank or@): -
If you already have an SPF Record:
Add this to your existing SPF record to include Sitoo’s email service:
Clone configuration for "AWS Email Service"
If you need to apply the same configuration to multiple sites or accounts:
- Copy the Verification Key:
- Go to the Sitoo BackOffice, find the section labeled SITOO - DOMAIN VERIFICATION, and copy the "key" in parentheses next to Verified.
- Clone to Another Site:
- On the site/account you want to clone the configuration to, add the same domain and open it for editing.
- Click Override Token and paste the key from step 1.
- Add the email address for the sender.
Final Notes
- Make sure that the sender email address is consistent across all settings for order confirmations and digital receipts.
- You need DNS access for domain verification, so ensure your domain administrator is available to help with any issues.
- The SPF record helps improve email deliverability by ensuring that Sitoo’s mail server is authorized to send emails on your behalf.
- Company must be set on the register.
By following these steps, you should be able to set up and send digital receipts through Sitoo’s POS system successfully!
