Installing Adyen
Adyen needs to register your terminal in their system. You should have received information from Adyen that you will need to enter in Sitoo Backoffice.
Please ensure that Adyen has implemented the possibility to make money returns on your card terminal if you wish to be able to do this.
- Go to Sitoo Backoffice > Settings > Adyen.
- Enter the information you received from Adyen in the Merchant Account, Username and Password fields.
- Go to Settings > Payments POS.
- Press the plus icon to add a new payment method.
- Choose (Card) Adyen.
Connect the terminal to your network
Adyen M400 plus
Connect your Ethernet cable to the ETH port on the dongle, then connect the dongle to the power outlet.
Adyen P400 plus (wired)
Connect your Ethernet cable to the ETH port on the dongle, then connect the dongle to the power outlet.
Adyen P400 plus (wireless)
Follow the steps to connect the terminal to your Wi-Fi - Note that the Wi-Fi selected must belong to the same network as you other wired POS hardware devices are connected to.
- On the terminal, press and hold (9) + GREEN button at the same time.
- This will take you to the admin menu.
- Press the Configure Network button on the display.
Note!This button is only available when the P400 is not connected with an Ethernet cable.
- Press (3) Wifi > Press (1) Turn on Wi-Fi.
- The terminal will begin scanning for Wi-Fi networks.
- Choose the desired Wi-Fi and enter the wireless password.
- The terminal sets the network as default automatically, and connects to it.
- Press RED button to return.

- You will now access the admin menu.
- Press (1) Network > (2) Wifi > (2) Networks > (1) Scan.
- The terminal will begin scanning for Wi-Fi networks.
- Choose the desired Wi-Fi and enter the wireless password.
- The terminal sets the network as default automatically, and connects to it.
- Press RED button to return.

- Press (1) Network > (2) Wifi > (3) Scan Networks.
- The terminal will begin scanning for Wi-Fi networks.
- Choose the desired Wi-Fi and enter the wireless password.
- The terminal sets the network as default automatically, and connects to it.
- Press RED button to return.
Connect your card terminal to Sitoo POS
- Open the Sitoo POS app on your iPad. Press the menu in the upper left corner and then Settings.
- Here you'll see a list of currently connected hardware devices, such as card terminals.
- Tap the plus icon in the upper right corner.
- Choose Adyen.
- Tap the magnifying glass in the upper right corner. The app will then search for your card terminal on your network. When the terminal appears after a short while, tap it to add it.
If you are using more than one terminal you will need to ascertain the IP adress of your terminal to ensure that the correct terminal is connected to the correct POS. On the terminal, press and hold (5) + GREEN button at the same time. You will then receive an information box with QR code and IP address. - The text field stating the IP address should now automatically be filled in with string of numbers, the same as the IP address in your card terminal.
- Tap Payment Type and choose Card.
- Tap the blue button Initiate terminal.
- Tap Done in the upper left corner.
If the information you have entered under Settings > Adyen is correct, the terminal will now begin its configuration. It restarts several times and may also need to download software.
If the initialization fails and gives an error message even though the data is correct, follow these steps.
- Go to Sitoo Backoffice > Settings > Adyen.
- Press save (you do not need to change any information).
- Go to the cash register, open the Sitoo POS app > Menu > Settings > and press About to reload the changes in the cash register.
- Restart the app by double-clicking the home button of the iPad and swipe the app upwards.
- Reopen the app.
- Go to Menu > Settings > Hardware devices and do the initiation once more.
When the terminal is ready, try to complete a purchase by card. If you get an error message at the first attempt, try again.
Retry Function
Sitoo POS has a built-in retry function to ensure transactions are verified in case the communication fails between the app and the terminal. More information here.
