Sitoo Web

The SEO-navigator

Below, you will find a quick guide to the SEO-navigator.

The SEO-navigator in Sitoo Web

The SEO-navigator is used to allow the user a good overview of the website from a search engine optimizer's perspective. You can find the function by clicking the "SEO"-button at the top right of the screen.

The SEO-navigator (button)

The field "Enter words to optimize page for:"

Enter one or more words for which you want to optimize the page. Separate by comma (e.g. "Sitoo Web" would be seen as a phrase, i.e. one word, while "Sitoo, Web" would be seen as two separate words and will be treated as such).

The field "Suggestions (things you should do)"

Here, the navigator will suggest actions through which you can optimize the page for the entered words.

The field "HTML Title"

Corresponds to the text show at the top right in the browser window and also as the title in the search engines' hitlists.

"Standard" will fetch the value enter under "Page name" in the page's properties. Unchecking this box will overwrite that value with this.

The field "Description"

Is a so-called META-tag on the page and will correspond to the descriptive text shown in the search engines' hitlists.

The field "Keywords"

Is a so-called META-tag on the page and will be used by the search engines' indexation.

The field "Filename"

Will define the page's technical filename.

Important! Think thoroughly before changing the filename for a document that already has a good position in the search engines' hitlists.
