Run Sitoo on your Mac

Currently Sitoo is only available as a Windows program, which means that if you want to run Sitoo on your Mac, you need the Windows operating system. To run the Windows operating system on your Mac, you nead a virtualization software allowing you to run multiple systems at once on your Mac. The installation is easy and allows you to use all available Windows software while continuing to run your Mac as usual.

What do you need?

  • Check that your CPU is of the Intel-brand (go to "My Computer"). *
  • A copy of the Windows operating system (Windows XP or later).
  • A virtualization software, for example VMware Fusion 3, Parallels Desktop or Apple Bootcamp (included in OSX Leopard)
  • 2 GB of hard disk space (Windows XP)
  • 16 GB of hard disk space (Windows 7)
  • Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later
  • 1 GB RAM memory or more (2G is recommended)

* Older Mac computers manufactured prior to 2006 have a CPU architecture which is not compatible with Windows operating system. In 2006 Apple change to Intel CPUs which works and all models since then are compatible with Windows.

VMware Fusion 3

Sitoo recommends VMware Fusion which is a smooth way of running Windows, Linux and other operating system on. The programs are run isolated, side-by-side with your regular operating system, protecting your Mac if a crash or instability in Windows would occur.

VMware Fusion supports Exposé, which allows you to use your Windows software as if they are installed on your Mac. You can even minimize your Windows program to the Dock in Mac OS X.
